There’s no sense in spending time and money on something that you’re not going to treasure for years to come. Whether to evoke a memory or emotion, I fully believe in crafting things to bring joy; for a purpose; to communicate something. I’m very much of the opinion that this doesn’t have to just apply to you commissioning me to make something; it can also be crafting a workshop for you to make something yourself with my guidance and experience to make the process a little easier. (This being said, if you simply don’t want to take part in a workshop, I am always happy to take on bespoke work too.)
If you’d like a workshop planned for you, contact me with an idea, criteria, a budget - any kind of starting point, and I can start planning. If it requires some more in depth planning, I may suggest a consultation over a cup of tea and cake. My goal is to not only help you create something, but for you to enjoy the process of the experience too. It’s not just about making another thing. It’s learning to be kind to yourself through indulging in curiosity; through taking a moment out from everyday life. It’s about crafting an object that is going to last many lifetimes, something that can be gifted on as an heirloom. Who knows - maybe even something that could be found in centuries to come and raise questions about who might’ve made it.
Feel free to peruse the previous workshops below, alongside the little portfolio on the previous page. This is an ever-changing avenue and will be updated periodically.
