I write to you on behalf of Gnorman the Gnome, looking for a new home.
Every so often I just like to make something because I feel like it. This gorgeous little chap was the product of a day of PURE procrastination - but didn’t he come out nicely?
He is a weighty, little fellow at nearly 200g. He’s only 75mm tall and about 36mm wide.
I’m not the biggest fan of mould-making/making more than one of the same, but in order to keep him in line with my Festive Collection pricing, and for him to not be astronomically priced, I did have a mould made, and as a result, only 50 of these limited edition lovelies will be made. We’re on 21 so far. Each one has a number and the year scrawled onto his bottom. They will be back next year, but the process is a little long so if you’d like to purchase yours sooner than the Autumn/Winter season, drop me a message and this can be arranged!
He has been carefully sculpted in wax, before being cast in bronze. I then finish the piece off with a variety of cleaning up and polishing techniques.
At the current point in time, I have a few already cast; they’re just waiting to be finished, which usually takes a couple of days. I have more waxes ready to be cast when those fly the nest (turnaround is currently 4-6 weeks).
